Aboriginal Education

At St Patrick’s we proudly acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our school stands and recognise their enduring connection to Country.

Aboriginal education is an important part of learning at our school. We work to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students feel supported, valued and known, and we partner closely with families to nurture each child’s strengths, identity and sense of belonging. Our curriculum includes meaningful opportunities for all students to learn about Aboriginal perspectives, culture and heritage in authentic and age appropriate ways.

Each year, our school community comes together to celebrate significant events such as NAIDOC Week, honouring the achievements, resilience and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. These celebrations help deepen understanding, promote reconciliation and strengthen our shared commitment to walking together with respect.
