Extra-curricular Activities

At St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Our extra‑curricular program is designed to spark interests, build confidence, and help every child discover their unique gifts and passions.

We offer a wide range of opportunities across sport, creative arts, leadership, faith formation, and academic enrichment. Whether students are competing on the field, performing on stage, developing new skills, or serving their community, these experiences help them grow as well-rounded, resilient, and engaged learners.

Sport

St Patrick’s Catholic School offers a range of opportunities for students to engage in School Representative Sport.

Each year, our school holds school-level Cross Country, Athletics and Swimming Carnivals. Students between the ages of 8–12 also have the opportunity for selection in school, Central Coast Cluster, and Diocesan Representative Teams for these events.

Summer and Winter trials in a range of sports are conducted each year for students in Years 5 and 6 for selection to represent the Diocese of Broken Bay.

Public Speaking

Each year St Patrick’s Catholic School conducts a Public Speaking Competition across each grade to expose students to this very important skill from an early age.

The school also participates in the Central Coast Catholic Schools Public Speaking Program. This program involves two Year 6 students competing against students from other Central Coast schools.

Debating

Our school proudly participates in the annual Central Coast Primary Catholic Schools Debating Competition. Each year, our Year 6 debating team competes in a series of home and away debates against other Catholic schools across the Central Coast.

Debating provides students with the opportunity to develop confidence in public speaking, critical thinking, teamwork and respectful argument. It is a wonderful way for students to extend their communication skills while representing our school with pride
