At St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School, we provide rich and engaging learning experiences that supports each child academically, socially and spiritually, recognising that every child is capable of growth and success.
Our teaching is guided by the NSW Curriculum and informed by the science of learning, research that helps us understand how children learn best. This means, our teachers use clear, explicit instruction; break learning into manageable steps; regularly review and practise key skills; and provide timely feedback so knowledge moves into long-term memory. We know that strong foundations in literacy and numeracy are essential, and we intentionally build these skills each day to develop confidence and academic stamina.
Learning at St Patrick’s is purposeful and engaging. Alongside explicit teaching, students are given opportunities to apply their knowledge through meaningful, hands-on experiences that encourage deep thinking, problem-solving and collaboration.
